Brendan Malone is a North Carolina native sound mixer and filmmaker. He started out making short films while at University of North Carolina Greensboro. One of these shorts, Foodie which went to the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival.
This short had no dialogue, and in later projects Brendan discovered how difficult it can be to capture good dialogue on set. In an effort to improve his sound, he discovered a passion for production sound and found his place in the film world (right above the frame line).
A fighter of noise and a lover of dialogue, Brendan knows sound can serve your picture. High quality video needs high quality sound. With a mix of boom microphones, hidden body mics, and even the occasional “plant mic”, he will deliver post-production ready mixes that sound just as good if you’re listening on set or in the studio.
Whether indoors or outdoors, day or night, sit down interviews or walk-and-talks, middle-of-nowhere or downtown, Brendan is prepared to capture the best sound possible.
